Betin Sportsbook Review

BetIn was first launched in 2010, operating under the Logispin group and was created to focus on both the European and fast growing African market.

However, despite a successful entry into the online world of bookmaking, Betin has recently suspended operations cross Europe in order to take “ break to create a new and improved website full of exciting products.” The bookmaker is currently only operating in Kenya and Uganda with no hint as to when the European operations will resume.

BetIn is licenced and regulated by the government of Curacao, as well as the Betting Control and Licencing Board of Kenya and the National Lotteries Board of Uganda. Before suspending European operations the site was restricted in the USA and France.

Currently the Kenyan and Ugandan sites only operate in English but BetIn also supports Italian, German, Turkish, Romanian, Bulgarian, Albanian, Greek and Dutch languages on its European site.

Although there is a heavy focus on Football within their sportsbook they still offer a good range of markets that haven’t been disregarded. As well as their sportsbook, BetIn also have a Racebook, Virtual Sports, a Casino, Jackpot and Blog on their site.

Due to their focus in African countries, BetIn have enjoyed huge success in both Kenya and Uganda with over 50,000 followers across social media in those two countries alone. Their success on Twitter and Facebook demonstrates just how lucrative the African market can be.

Betting Markets

BetIn offer incredibly risky and attractive odds for their players, and have a great range of markets available within their sportsbook offering over 10,000 wagers on the busiest day, Saturday. The sports available are:

Football, Football Specials, Goalscorer, Antepost Football, Basketball, Tennis, Handball, Ice Hockey, American Football, Baseball, Darts, Golf, Motor Sports, Pool & Snooker, Rugby, Volleyball, Winter Sports, AFL, Futsal, Pesapallo, Politics, Boxing, Aussie Rules, Floorball, Politics and Table Tennis.

Football is broken down into four separate markets showing just how focused the site is on the sport. Currently there is no market for E-Sports and it feels like a lost opportunity considering how quickly the market is growing.

Live Betting

The live betting section of the website is outstandingly designed making it incredibly easy for users to quickly place bets. The visuals and statistics are presented brilliantly for each live game and it is arguably one of the best platforms on the market for this feature.

However, the only downside is that there is currently no option for cash out and the only live streams are for the horse races. Hopefully in future, after BetIn return to the European market we will see some development in their live betting.

Usability of the site

The site as a whole is perfectly designed and is one of the most user-friendly sites available today. The pages load quickly, with a simple layout and offer the right amount of information for your desktop window. The bookmaker offer great mobile support which is just as simple to use, but visually it is not as well laid out.

The site is sadly let down by no search bar being available and a customer service with no live-chat facility. The customer service is still good despite a lack of live-chat, with multiple numbers available to contact their customer support and an e-mail address. They are usually quick to respond and resolve any issues that may arise.

There are currently no welcome bonuses available, and this was still the case before BetIn suspended their operations in Europe. Instead they focus on offering promotions to their loyal players with money back on lost wagers.

For BetIn Kenya and Uganda the deposit methods are very basic with only MPESA available, a system where you deposit through SMS messages. Their European site offered the basic payment methods, including Skrill and Neteller, and was known for their fast deposits and withdrawals.

Conclusion

BetIn’s site is excellently designed, with great odds and a great live betting service. However, it is hard to tell what they will change when they resume operations in Europe. With the addition of live streaming, cash out and a live chat facility this bookmaker will be a major force to reckon with.
