BetEast Sportsbook Review
Licensed and based in Curacao BetEast offers punters worldwide sports betting and casino wagering too.
It gained a name for itself in 2016 after it became the official shirt sponsor of AFC Swansea City. This must have been a sizable commitment with the Swans in the most commercialised and widely watched league in the world ; the EPL. Due to the lack of brand awareness prior to this sponsorship many viewed this as something of a coup for the bookie, though they paid a price for it as it was revealed as the Welsh club’s largest ever sponsorship deal.
A BetEast spokesperson said: “We are proud to become principal official sponsor for Swansea City. The partnership will cover an incredibly exciting period for us and Swansea City, especially with Ki Sung-Yueng, one of Asia’s top footballers, at the Liberty Stadium. This is BETEAST’s first venture into British football and the next step in a sponsorship strategy that will aim to make the brand present in top sporting events around the world.”
Outside of the UK, and much of Europe however, BetEast has been a relatively big name for some time. It has offices in six countries and employs over 500 people globally. The Swansea partnership, which runs till at least 2019, is part of a drive to establish itself in the UK and Europe. It is licensed in both the Isle of Man and Great Britain, and has opened offices in London.
BetEast works with odds supplier Ultraplay, a company based in Bulgaria, which is specialised in esports.
Betting Markets
BetEast offers customers a strong selection of sports and markets to bet on. Here they are listed in full: Football, Horse racing, Golf, Tennis, American Football, Aussie Rules, Badminton, Bandy, Baseball, Basketball, Boxing, Chess, Cricket, Cycling, Darts, Esports, Floorball, Handball, Ice Hockey, MMA, Motor Racing, Rugby League, Rugby Union, Snooker & Pool, Surfing, Table Tennis, Volleyball and Winter Sports.
BetEast also offers some specials markets which include politics and entertainment.
Live Betting
BetEast offers in-play betting on a range of sports, and it also has Cash Out for the more savvy and sensible punter. It needs to add more live streaming of sporting events if it wishes to step up its live betting section, but to be fair there is some and moreover the layout of live markets is varied (customers can choose from different formats) and the live schedule is handy too.
Usability of the site
The site is quite well designed, in a blue, white and black simple but not too garish colour scheme.
A few language options are included; in the form of Danish, English, French, Italian, Russian, Spanish, Turkish. BetEast advertises its promotions on the main homepage, and it’s one of just three main tabs (the other two being Sports and Casino). Whilst the promos themselves are strong, the graphics for each individual one could use some work. They look outdated and cheaply done.
You can contact customer support via email (support@beteast.co.uk) and it offers live chat too. For the all important withdrawal and depositing there are the usual, expected methods available which includes debit and credit cards, plus e-wallets such as Neteller and Skrill. It does not accept Paypal at this time. It does however accept Bitcoin.
BetEast allows players to cash out which will please those that like live betting, but to be honest this is one functionality which by now most decent bookmakers should include.
Conclusion
As the shirt sponsor of Swansea City for the next three seasons BetEast will get a ton of brand awareness and traffic for this reason alone. It offers numerous sports markets, and should offer Swans fans some special promotions. Thanks to Ultraplay it’s well versed in esports markets, and punters interested in those will be well catered for.
