Bet-at-home Sportsbook Review
Bet-at-home is a betting firm with Austrian roots which has grown and extended its presence throughout Europe and now has over 5 million registered customers and is available in 15 languages and counting.
It was founded in 1999 by Jochen Dickinger and Franz Ömer in Austria and went public on the stock exchange in 2004. In April 2009 Bet-at-home became part of the BetClic Everest Group, a French betting group which also includes Betclic and Expekt amongst others. Dickinger stepped down as Bet-at-home CEO in 2012.
The Bet-at-home Group operates in Austria, Germany, Malta, and Gibraltar and acquired a licence from the British Gambling Commission in 2014, and an Irish one in August 2015. The bookmaker also gained an Italian licence for sports betting and igaming in 2011.
The bookmaker is the title sponsor of Hertha Berlin since 2015 and has also sponsored Schalke 04 since 2011. It has also sponsored events and teams in sports such as handball and ice hockey which shows its focus on certain European markets such as Germany and Austria.
There is a wide-range of sports betting markets at Bet-at-home. The bookmaker states that it offers an average of 23,000 daily bets on more than 75 sports. This is considerable and certainly above the industry wide average. It focuses on the popular European sports in the markets it primarily targets so football, handball, ice hockey, basketball and tennis are prioritised. They have American sports such as baseball and American football notably high up the list of sports markets offered too, as well as esports which is proof that this is a forward thinking bookmaker.
Showing its innovative side yet again Bet-at-home launched its Virtuals gaming suite in March 2015 and this now features prominently with a direct link on the main homepage. If you’re interested in finding out exactly what you can bet on with bet-at-home we’ve provided you with the full list of bet-at-home sports betting markets here:
Football, Tennis, Ice Hockey, Handball, Basketball, Volleyball, Baseball, American Football, Esports, Motorsports, Darts, Rugby, Aussie Rules, Boxing, Combat Sports, Floorball, Futsal, Netball, Snooker, Table Tennis, Cricket, Golf, Chess, Cycling and Winter Sports.
In addition to this there are Bet-at-home politics markets and entertainment options too.
Bet-at-home.com live betting is offered across sports such as football, ice hockey, tennis, handball, volleyball and more and there are a fair amount of events and markets offered.
The Bet-at-home live betting product fails to impress from an end user perspective however, it’s too data heavy and entirely lacking in graphics. Function wise it’s strong but this lack of easy on the eyes usability will put off many typical bettors.
Usability of the site
The bet-at-home site was relaunched in Summer 2013 and this was followed up with Bet-at-home mobile a few months later. The main site is easy to navigate and includes a handy search bar as well as easily accessible statistics and live scores.
The Bet-at-home mobile offering is great and can be accessed from the main site with a QR Scan, the Bet-at-home.com mobile app is available on both Android and iOS and is a useful product which has focused on the important functions for betting on the go.
Bet-at-home has clearly realised the importance and value of a strong customer support system, and there is bet-at-home live chat, email or should customers prefer they can phone too. The site is available in numerous languages which is a nice bonus.

A large online bookmaker which is an excellent option if you’re a fan of European favourites such as football, handball and ice hockey. The customer support is great, there’s an app on both platforms and a good Bet-at-home welcome offer.
A number of markets in different sports, including esports and more niche ones such as Futsal, it also includes a Virtual Sports suite which gives it an edge over a number of competitors that are yet to embrace virtuals. Bet-at-home must focus on making its live betting product more user friendly before it’s able to compete with the best out there.
